There has been some “tagging” going around on Facebook with a note called 25 Interesting Things. Thought I would blog my list on here as well.
1. I never want to move away from Western Washington. I love it out here. The beauty of the mountains, the ocean, the rain, everything about it! Of course, having enough money to afford to take vacations to warm locations would be nice as well. I also love that our bugs/insects are tiny and very few are poisonous! Not saying I wouldn’t move if the
reason was justified but would never WANT to.
2. I turned 21 and was ordained a minister on the same day! Oh the controversy!
3. I have the same birthday as like 4-5 other people that I know from church. Just Weird! Also, I have the same birthday as Abraham Lincoln!
4. I would love to own a log cabin in the mountains/foot hills and an apartment in the city someday!
5. I have never broken a bone in my body. I also rarely get sick. I have never even had a reason to personally go to the hospital for myself. Just to see others.
6. I am a total wimp when it comes to “making a move”. The girl practically has to be the one to do it. Sad, I know!
7. My favorite colors are Turquoise and Maroon
8. I LOVE Chick Flicks. Yeah, it’s true. Get over it! LOL!
9. I have never smoked a cigarette or done any drugs. Have never even come close to having an interest.
10. I currently serve on the GPNW Samish Family Reunion Planning Committee, 50th Samish Celebration Committee, and the Evangelist-sponsored Retreat Planning Committee. I also direct Camp Genesis (for 3rd and 4th Graders) and Co-Direct the Annual Young Adult Retreat, both taking place at Samish Island Campgrounds. Also helping
with the Annual Fine Arts Retreat.
11. I will be in the role of “Guest Minister” for the first time at the end of March. I will be flying down to Happy Valley Campground in California for a Missionary Retreat. I am co-leading a class on Young Adults and the Church.
12. In the summer of 2007 I was on staff at 9 different camps (8 weeks and 1 weekend) and served in the roles of Director, Camp Pastor, Head Cook, Jr. High Class Co-Teacher, Counselor, and Assistant Cook.
13. I am very liberal and a devoted Democrat but have deep reservations about Barack Obama.
14. I am the product of a kid born in the computer age. I am a good typist but my handwriting sucks!
15. If I have hurt someone (or even think I have hurt someone) it absolutely tears me up inside. Even to the point of sometimes making me sick to my stomach. I stay that way until I know I haven’t or until things are reconciled.
16. I am a major smart ass. Which can often times can lead to #15. It is something I know I need to work on.
17. I LOVE country music. Absolutely love it. Saying that, one of my favorite groups is Aerosmith!
18. I LOVE to go camping. My favorite locations are Copalis Beach (near Ocean Shores) and Maryhill State Park (Southeast Washington, on the Columbia River).
19. I LOVE the rush of a concert. You can’t get any better than live music. My favorite concerts so far have been Garth Brooks w/ Trisha Yearwood, Shania Twain w/ Emerson Drive, Duran Duran and Carrie Underwood. I always imagine what I would do if I was a singer. How I would set-up the stage, special effects, transitions, etc.
20. Growing up I wanted to be a Full-Time Minister (still possible), Elementary School Teacher (still possible), Lawyer (too much school and would be afraid of becoming a stereotypical lawyer….a.k.a. a pompous, self-absorbed ass), and Singer (of course, can’t sing so that rules that one out).
21. As much as I love being around babies, I have a fear of holding them with a lot of people around.
22. I believe that everyone who wants to be a parent of more than one child, should adopt at least one child.
23. My dad used to be a Line Dance Instructor. I used to go line dancing with him every other weekend when we were at his house. He would also occasionally pick me up to go on weeknights. I loved it! This lead to him being the lead line dancer for a local country singer. He lead a group of like 8-10 dancers that would travel on the weekends to venues throughout the Northwest line dancing behind her while she sang. I used to love to go with them and watch.
24. My mom, brothers, and myself all got a tattoo within a month or two of each other. My tattoo is on my right bicep and is of a cross, loaf of bread, and wine goblet. I plan to eventually get a band of thorns around my right arms as well.
25. I am beyond ready to move out of my dad’s duplex in Kirkland and move down to the Greater Auburn/Puyallup area. Any one wanting a roommate or have a room to rent? LOL! Though, it would be hard for me to find a roommate because I wouldn’t want to live with someone who smoked, did drugs, or wanted to have big, loud parties. Plus, I already have so much stuff. I have been collecting items for moving out on my own since I was in the 9th grade. I already have everything needed for a stocked kitchen!
