Leaving……

Posted by samishpatrol on June 15, 2007

So, I am leaving for the next four weeks to go to Samish Island Campgrounds. I will only be away from the campgrounds 3 nights of those 4 weeks. This will make for a tiring and exhausting but well worth it start to my summer. I look forward to coming back and sharing my experiences. Here is the break down of what I will be doing:

From today until next Thursday i will be assistant cooking at one of the zen meditation groups that use the campgrounds. this means vegetarian food for the week! bring on the tofu! i am really looking forward to it, haven’t cooked for a vegetarian group since high school. i will have a lot of down time the evening during this camp. so, i will be bringing many books to read and just soaking in the power of samish island!

here is why say “almost”….i then leave the campgrounds for three nights. first night will be at home. then i leave Friday morning the 22nd for a YAPS retreat down in Ethel until Sunday the 24th.

Then Sunday evening I go up to head cook for the Inland West Family Reunion. Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

Then the 3rd week I will be counseling at Camp Mungai. It is a week with 5th and 6th graders! I love working with this camp! We always have so much fun and I will always feel so enriched by the ministry I receive from the kids by the end of the week.

Then the last week I will be attending the GPNW Family Reunion. I will be teaching the Jr. High Class, co-presiding over an evening service, and will be the Head Deacon for the week. I am looking forward to the late night chats, worships, and visiting with friends!

Peace In Everyone!
