This week’s recipe is one I often make for church camps. I got it from a fellow church friend and it has been a favorite of mine ever since.
Chunky Cinnamon Applesauce
Ingredients:
2 each golden delicious apples
3 cups unsweetened applesauce
½ cup water
¼ cup sugar
3 tablespoons red hot cinnamon candies
Directions:
Pare, core and cut apples in 3/4″ chunks.
Put in Medium Saucepan with remaining ingredients.
Simmer, stirring occasionally, 25 to 30 minutes until thickened.
Cool, cover and refrigerate.
Reheat and warm with pancakes.
Can be made up to 5 days in advance.
