Music I Am Currently Digging!

So, there has been some new music as of late that I really like. Well, new to me at least. lol!
The first of which is Adele. She sang a duet version of her song “Chasing Pavements” with Sugarland on the Grammy’s back in February and I immediately fell in love with her sound. Check out that performance here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YYqVodhuGY
There is a newer country group by the name of The Zac Brown Band. Their first single was a catchy number by the name of “Chicken Fried”. It was one of the those songs that made you think they would definitely become a One Hit Wonder. Then, they released there second single, “Whatever it is”. I immediately loved it! Not sure if it will become a big hit or not but it is already a big hit with me. Here is a video made for the song (not the official music video): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3dddbxvEGM
A while back ago I bought the latest CD from Kid Rock, “Rock N Roll Jesus”. I have always been selective of what I like from him but I LOVE this CD. It is the first CD I have ever purchased that had the “Parental Advisory” sticker. lol. It does contain a lot of foul language, mainly the “F” word, as well as songs that are beyond suggestive. I love the music though. It either gets me pumped up or really makes me think. Some of my favorites from the CD are “Roll On”, “Rock N Roll Jesus”, and “Blue Jeans & a Rosary”.
I also just bought two new cd’s this week. The first being the latest Keith Urban CD, “Defying Gravity”. I loved his last full studio album, “Love, Pain, and the whole Crazy thing”, so I had lots of high expectations for this one. I don’t think it is nearly as good but I hope it grows on me. The other new one is “Shine” from Martina McBride. This is her first studio CD in a few years. Again, I think she has put out better material. It’s okay but not great. I was disappointed. Next week is the release of the new Rascal Flatts CD and I’ll be sure to buy that.
Some other new stuff I am digging at the moment: Jamey Johnson “High Cost of Living”, Gloriana “Wild At Heart”, Sugarland “It Happens”, Alan Jackson “Sissy’s Song”, and Lady Antebellum “I Run To You”.
